We celebrate the life and honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. A Girl Scout's commitment to diversity is woven into everything she does, beginning with the Girl Scout Promise and Law, the foundation of all Girl Scout activities.
In 1956, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called Girl Scouts of the USA a "force for desegregation." Today, we continue to focus on building a diverse groups of girls who will become leaders who will make Dr. King proud.
